GeoWars Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the GeoWars mobile app ("GeoWars", "we", "us")
collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using GeoWars you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
- Account information — if you create an account, your email address and a
username. You can also play as a guest, in which case no account data leaves your device.
- Gameplay data — scores, level, in-game coins, streaks, and match history,
used to run the game, leaderboards, and progression.
- Advertising & device data — to show ads, our advertising partner
(Google AdMob) may access a device advertising identifier and limited device/usage data. On
iOS this only happens if you allow tracking when prompted; in the EU/UK it is governed by the
consent choice you make in the consent form.
- Purchases — if you buy “Remove Ads”, the purchase is processed by Apple or
Google. We receive confirmation that the purchase occurred; we do not receive your payment
card details.
How we use information
- To provide and operate the game (accounts, progression, leaderboards, matchmaking).
- To show and measure advertising, and to honor your “Remove Ads” purchase.
- To keep the game fair (anti-cheat) and to fix bugs and improve the app.
Third-party services
We use the following providers, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — account authentication and game data storage.
- Google AdMob — advertising. See Google’s
Privacy Policy and
how Google uses data.
- Mapillary / MapTiler — street imagery and map tiles.
Your choices
- Ad tracking — on iOS you can allow or deny tracking when prompted, and
change it later in
Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. In the EU/UK you
can change your consent choice at any time.
- Remove ads — a one-time purchase removes the full-screen ads between games.
- Delete your account — you can permanently delete your account and all
associated data from within the app, on your Profile screen (“Delete account”).
Data retention
We keep account and gameplay data while your account exists. When you delete your account, the
account and its associated profile data are removed from our systems.
Children
GeoWars is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal
information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us
and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the
“Last updated” date above.
